Joe has been involved in the under-19 setup before under Rob Edwards and he will once again link up with the team following the Brentford B Spain tour.

Last time Joe was with Wales, they took on Austria in two fixtures, the first of which saw them fall to a 3-1 defeat before bouncing back to take a 2-0 win last month.

The forward has been on the scoresheet of late as he helped Neil MacFarlane’s side to a 4-0 win over Albacete Under-19s on Tuesday evening after being involved in Brentford B’s match with FC Cartagena on Thursday.

The Wales side will first take on Poland before entertaining Russia on 16 November and they then round off their fixtures with a match against Kosovo on 19 November.

The group matches have yet to begin, so Joe and his teammates will be keen to get off to a positive start to their campaign.

Speaking about being called up, Joe said: “It’s always good to play for Wales. We’re trying to qualify for the Euros, so hopefully we can get into the elites and then go from there.”
