Jaakko, who is set to turn 19 tomorrow has already been involved in the under-21 set up as well as continuing his development with Neil MacFarlane’s side.

The youngster is currently out on tour in Spain with Brentford B and helped them to a 4-0 win over Albacete Under-19s on Tuesday evening.

Jaakko was part of the Finland squad for their two previous qualifiers as he came off the bench in a 4-0 win over Malta and a narrow defeat to Denmark.

Finland Under-21s currently sit second in Group 8 on seven points behind Denmark who have played one game less. With Romania just one point behind in third place, it would be an important victory for the Fins to keep some daylight between themselves and their opponents.

Jaakko will link up with his Finland teammates once he has completed the tour in Spain and Brentford B have one more match remaining as they take on FC Cartagena at their La Manga training base on Thursday morning in a 10:30am kick-off local time (9:30am GMT.)
