Christian's Nørgaard's superb recent form has earned him a recall to the senior squad while Henrik Dalsgaard's inclusion is likely to see him set a new Club record for caps won while at Brentford.

It could hardly be tighter at the top of Group D heading into the final round of fixtures. Denmark, Ireland, and Switzerland are separated by just one point with the top two sides going through.

The Danes host Gibraltar in Copenhagen on Friday 15 November, kick-off 7.45pm, before heading to Dublin three days later to take on Mick McCarthy's men. Should, as expected, Åge Hareide's side beat Gibraltar they would only need to avoid defeat against Ireland to qualify. Defeat in Dublin would see Ireland qualify and open the door for Switzerland to grab the other qualifying spot, should they beat Georgia and Gibraltar.

By winning their Nations League group, Denmark are still guaranteed a Play-Off spot even if they finish third, meaning defeat in Dublin would not be the end of the road for Henrik and Christian.

Henrik's two appearances for Denmark last month saw him equal John Buttigieg's record for caps won while a Brentford player, which currently stands at 20. The defender has 25 caps in total for his nation, four of those coming during this qualifying campaign.

For Christian, who arrived in the summer from Fiorentina, this represents his third call-up to the full squad. He is yet to make his full debut but has earned 27 caps at Under-21 level.
