Bryan Mbeumo feels he is starting to show what he is all about after a run of fine performances in recent weeks. The attacker has three goals and three assists in his last five matches, helping The Bees to four wins in that run. After netting the opener against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, Bryan feels he and the squad are in a good place right now.
“It was really pleasing to win 3-0 [today],” said Bryan, speaking after last Saturday’s victory in the North West over The Latics. “It was really nice to score and to help the team to climb the table. It is now four wins in five and we are playing really well. We are climbing the table, but we need to keep going to get nearer to the top.”
The 20-year-old is currently away with the French Under-21 setup for two European Championship Qualifiers this week. The former Troyes AC player has one goal in two caps for his nation and is keen to stay involved with Les Bleuets.
“I have had time to get used to the league now and it is good to be able to help the team,” said Bryan. “For me, national selection is important as I like to represent my country. It also shows that I am playing well for Brentford and I want that to continue.”
