Referee: James Linington

Assistant Referees: Dean Treleaven and Robert Merchant

Fourth Official: Christopher Sarginson

This is only the third Brentford game that James has taken charge of this season and the second at Griffin Park. His last game was the win over Bolton Wanderers in December and that ended a run of five games since The Bees won with him in the middle. The Isle of Wight official was referee for our Sky Bet Championship games against Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City and Hull City last season, as well as our Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Norwich City, all of those at Griffin Park. He was also in charge of the West London derby loss to Queens Park Rangers in November.

Now in his 11th season as an EFL referee, James' first two Brentford games were both 1-1 draws at Griffin Park, against Lincoln City and Darlington, during Andy Scott's 2008/09 League Two winning season. In total, he has taken charge of 16 Bees games, with Brentford winning three and drawing three.

So far this campaign, James has shown 96 yellow cards and three red in 24 Championship games. That rises to 113 yellow cards and three red in 32 games throughout the season.
