EA Sports have named a squad of the best players in the EFL this season, and included Brentford striker Neal Maupay. EA announced the FIFA 19 EFL Team of the Season this evening, chosing a starting XI and nine substitutes in a 20-man squad. Neal was named among the substitutes and can be picked up by gamers for their FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) this week.

It is the latest accolade for Neal, who was crowned the Brentford FC Supporters’ Player of the Year for 2018/19 on Sunday. The 22-year-old scored 28 goals this season and his 25 Sky Bet Championship goals is the most by a Brentford player in a league season since Steve Phillips struck 32 in 1977/78. It’s also the most goals by a player in a league season in the top two tiers since 1937/38. Neal played 49 games in all competitions this season to get his 28 goals, his 25 league goals - the second most in the division - came in 43 games. The full team can be seen below.
