Although not a playing part of Paul Simpson's group, Ellery was part of the training group during last year's tournament which England won for the third consecutive year. This time Ellery is one of two goalkeepers, alongside West Ham United's Nathan Trott, in Simpson's 21-man squad as their campaign gets underway on Saturday.

First up is a game against Japan at the Stade de Lattre, Aubagne, kick-off 2pm UK time, before the Young Lions take on Portugal at the Stade d’Honneur, Salon, kick-off 6pm UK time, on Tuesday 4 June. Three days later, Simpson's side complete the Group Stages against Chile at the Stade Parsemain, Fos-sur-Mer, kick-off 7pm UK time. Depending on how the group finishes, the semi-finals are on Wednesday 12 June with the final being held in Salon on Saturday 15 June.

Ellery's most-recent England Under-20 cap came against Portugal in March as the 19-year-old took his tally of caps at Youth Level to 15, three of those coming at Under-20 level.
