B Team winger David Titov has signed a new 12-month contract at Griffin Park. The 19-year-old put pen to paper on the deal this morning, Friday 3 May, which also includes the option for a year extension.

Titov joined The Bees in 2015, transitioning from the academy into the B Team a year later. Since then, the winger has made 68 appearances and scored five goals under Flemming Pedersen, then Kevin O'Connor and now Lars Friis.

In February 2018, he made his international debut for Latvia's Under-19 side as they became champions of the Baltic Cup. His first action from the start was during a 4-0 win over Estonia, then the final 1-0 victory over Finland to secure the trophy.

This season, he has been used up and down the right wing for club and country. In the 2018/19 campaign, so far David has played 36 games and scored on four occasions.

B Team Head Coach Lars Friis said: "David has really progressed as a footballer in the last three years and thoroughly deserves his new contract. He's been consistent this season as a performer on the pitch and has worked hard with his education off it.

"The coaching staff here are all pleased to see he has taken to the international stage and is getting regular call-ups with Latvia. This is a great way to further his development and get him used to playing different styles of football. I know the staff here are looking forward to working with him again next season."
