Brentford will welcome Premier League AFC Bournemouth to Griffin Park for a pre-season friendly. The Bees will build-up to the start of the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship – the last at Griffin Park – with a game against the South Coast side on Saturday 27 July. The game will kick-off at 3pm and full information on ticketing will follow in due course.

The 2019/20 Championship season will start on the weekend of Saturday 3 August. Fixtures will be released on Thursday 20 June. Brentford are currently planning for a sixth season in the second tier and will released details on friendlies when final agreements have been reached. It is currently planned that there will be friendlies away from home on Friday 5 July, Tuesday 16 July and Saturday 20 July and these will be announced as soon as possible.

The game against Bournemouth is likely to see Chris Mepham return to Griffin Park. The 21-year-old Wales international played 48 games for The Bees in all competitions, 43 in the Championship, and scoring one goal.
