After Brentford's Sky Bet Championship match against Bolton Wanderers was called off on Saturday, a new date has still not been confirmed for the game. As per the statement released on Friday, the game did not take place on its schedule date - Saturday 27 April. The EFL has told Bolton that they expect the game to be played and Brentford FC is currently investigating ways to compensate fans that bought match tickets are arranged to attend the game.
The EFL confirmed yesterday that the game would not be played this week and would determind tomorrow, Thursday 2 May, the arrangements for the fixture. A further statement has been issued this evening confirming that Bolton will play at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, 5 May. This does not change the status of Brentford's game but supporters can see the statement below:
Bolton Wanderers has confirmed to the EFL that its first team squad will be available for their away fixture against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
As a result the game will take place as originally scheduled on Sunday 5 May, kick-off 12.30pm along with all other Sky Bet Championship fixtures.
The EFL Board will determine on Thursday 2 May as to what arrangements are to be put in place in regards to last week’s suspended fixture with Brentford and details will be confirmed in due course.
