In November, Brentford's Technical Director Robert Rowan died aged 28. It was a shock that echoed throughout the entire club, from staff to players and beyond.
His work to implement the B Team strategy and create a pathway for the players to progress in the early stages was instrumental, producing a system that has so far seen 14 players make First Team debuts across three seasons.
The football in November started at Ibrox in Glasgow, the home of Rangers. Kevin O'Connor's side lost 3-2 to the Scottish giants despite coming back from two goals down.
Stephen Kelly netted an early brace as part of a side that included the likes of Gareth McAuley and Lee Wallace. Jan Zamburek and a trialist scored the goals to level things in the second half, with Patrik Gunnarsson then saving a penalty in front of the Copland Road Stand.
Rangers had Dapo Mebude to thank for a last-minute winner as Brentford fell asleep at the last second. It was a harsh blow to a side that had fought hard to give a good account of themselves.
The B Team responded with a 6-0 win over Reading. It was a strong Brentford team that faced The Royals, including Emiliano Marcondes and Alan Judge.
Josh Clarke and Rico Henry also appeared, aiming to get back to full fitness following injury spells. Joe Hardy netted a brace as Judge added the second. Henrik Johansson, Luka Racic and Marcondes then made things easy for The Bees in the second half.
Three days later it was a long trip north for a tight encounter with Huddersfield Town's Development Squad.
Rico Henry started again as Ali Coote scored inside the first minute of the game. Micah Obiero levelled things in the first half before David Titov managed to sneak Brentford into another lead.
An unfortunate own-goal from Charlie Oliver allowed Town to steal a 2-2 draw in the final moments.
Finally for November, Brentford entered their second cup competition. They made a great start to the London Senior Cup, progressing to the Quarter-Finals after a 3-0 win over Met Police FC at Imber Court.
Kevin O'Connor made three changes as Jaakko Oksanen, Kolbeinn Finnsson and Cole Dasilva returned to the side.
Jonny Mitchell scored the first goal just before half-time, then Titov and Finnsson added strikes in the second half.
