Brentford B midfielder Ali Coote has won this year's Mary Halder B Team Player of the Year Award.
B Team Head Coach Lars Friis presented the award to Ali at half-time during our 2-0 win over Leeds United at the end of April. The trophy is named in memory of former club employee Mary Halder, who was at Brentford for more than 25 years.
The Scot has played 38 games for Friis' side so far this term, scoring six times. He was captain of the side that lifted the Middlesex Senior Cup last month at Griffin Park. The 20-year-old has also taken part in tours to Switzerland, Italy and Scotland over the 18/19 campaign.
B Team Assistant Coach Allan Steele said: "I am pleased to see Ali pick up this award this season. The award is given out to the player who encompasses our values on and off the pitch, and he has been a standout player for the B Team this season. He has captained the side, playing 38 games and scoring six goals.
"His work away from the pitch sets him apart from the group. He has been a role model for all the players, involving himself in more community projects than any other player. He's a great leader and we're looking forward to seeing him progress next season."
