Saïd Benrahma's stellar form with The Bees has earned him a call-up to the Algeria squad for two games later this month.
The 23-year-old, whose only previous cap was earned back in October 2015, will join up with his teammates tomorrow ahead of the games on home soil.
Algeria have already booked their spot at this summer's Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt with a game to spare. Djamel Belmadi's Desert Foxes finish their successful Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign with a game against Gambia at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida on Friday 22 March, kick-off 8.45pm local time, before returning to the same ground to host Tunisia in a friendly four days later.
Saïd has been in superb form in 2019, contributing eight goals and eight assists in 16 games since the turn of the year. He netted his first career hat-trick against Hull City last month with his first that day voted the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month for February. In total, Saïd's debut season has seen him score ten goals with 14 assists in 40 appearances.
Saïd's inclusion brings the total number of Brentford players called-up this month to 15. Romaine Sawyers, Ezri Konsa, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Henrik Dalsgaard, Marcus Forss, Ellery Balcombe, Mads Bech Sorensen, Patrik Gunnarsson, Kolbeinn Finnsson, David Titov, Jaako Oksanen, Simon Andersson, Fredrik Hammar, and Jan Zamburek will all be jetting around the globe this week to join up with their nations.
