This weekend was a great one for Swindon Town loanee Canice Carroll, netting the first goal in their 3-0 win over Colchester United. The Robins are now just four points off a Play-Off place and have a game in hand on the teams above them. Next up is a trip to ninth-place Carlisle United on Saturday, a tricky fixture that would need a heavy scoreline to see them jump above United.

Elsewhere in League Two, Reece Cole played the full game as Macclesfield Town fell to a 3-0 defeat to Bury away from home. Bury are in second chasing promotion, with Town in the bottom two, so it was always going to be a struggle for Sol Campbell's men. Next weekend they host MK Dons, also at the top end of the table. Currently four points from safety, the fixture after that sees them host fifth place Exeter City.

Jack Bonham kept a clean sheet for Bristol Rovers in their 4-0 win over Blackpool in the South West on Saturday. Jonson Clarke-Harris scored a hat-trick, with Liam Sercombe adding a late goal to finish things off. The Semi-Final of the Checkatrade Trophy is up next on the agenda for Graham Coughlan's side, Sunderland the visitors to the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday night. After that, it's Scunthorpe United on Saturday, with The Pirates hoping to bridge the two-point gap to Walsall in 20th.

Boreham Wood gave Justin Shaibu 75 minutes in their 2-0 win over Bromley in the Vanarama National League on Saturday. Ralston Gabriel and Idris Kanu netted a goal in each half to maintain a seven-point gap on the relegation zone below. The Wood host AFC Fylde in their next match on Saturday, a team pushing for a Play-Off place near the top of the table.

Josh Clarke missed out on Burton Albion's 0-0 draw with Walsall due to an ankle injury. The Brewers are now sitting comfortably in mid-table with a trip to promotion-chasing Coventry City on the cards this Friday night.
