Ben Lampert, England's only full-time deaf coach, has been featured on ITV News. The 33-year-old has worked with our Community Sports Trust for nine years after a 60-cap career as a left winger with Great Britain’s deaf team over 15 years. Having hung up his boots, Ben is now keen to inspire the next generation and will be part of the England coaching staff at this summer's deaf European Championships in Crete and holds hopes of coaching at a professional club in the future.
His work in the community was highlighted on a TV news piece this week. ITV News were with him as a he took a PE class at Chase Bridge Primary School in Twickenham while also mentoring some deaf youngsters who are also keen to get in to coaching. See the feature below.
