As Men's Health Week 2019 comes to a close, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust looks at how it works with men in the local area to improve their health. In March, on the EFL Community Day of Action, Brentford B Team Assistant Coach Allan Steele joined Strength and Conditioning Coach Tom Perryman for a fitness session that aims to improve men’s fitness and live healthier lifestyles. The men were put through their paces as they took part in a series of challenging exercises to improve their fitness and lose weight by Brentford’s FC’s football and fitness experts.
Since 2016, the initiative has supported 65 adults live healthier lifestyles and more will join this year. The sessions are run as part of the Move It to Lose It initiative organised by the Trust and Richmond upon Thames Council. Pictures of the session can be seen here and a video is available here.
