Kolbeinn Finnsson and Fylkir suffered an extra-time defeat to Breidablik in the Quarter Final of the Icelandic Cup on Thursday.
It was a dream start for Kolbeinn as Fylkir took a 12th minute lead through Valdimar Thór Ingimundarson. Thomas Mikkelsen levelled from the penalty spot before the break and completed the turnaround with another penalty on the hour. That advantage lasted just a minute as Ingimundarson grabbed his second of the evening.
Level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, Breidablik took control with an Höskuldur Gunnlaugsson brace either side of the extra-time break to advance to the semi-finals.
The appearance was Kolbeinn's tenth in all competitions since heading to Iceland on loan.
