It was a day to forget for Kolbeinn Finnsson and ĺþróttafélagið Fylkir on Sunday as they suffered a heavy defeat. Fylkir came in to the game on the back of three straight wins but were beaten 5-1 by Stjarnan on Sunday evening. Fylkir fell behind early on but levelled before the break. They then, however, conceded just after the break and then three times in the final 20 minutes to slip to a heavy loss.
Kolbeinn played the full 90 minutes in the loss, his ninth game for the Icelandic side, where he started his career and is spending the summer on loan. The defeat means they fall to sixth in the table after nine games. Fylkir play next on Thursday in an Icelandic Cup Quarter Final, facing Breiðablik for a place in the last four of the competition.
