Kamohelo Mokotjo has been included in Stuart Baxter's final selection for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which begins next Friday.
The 28-year-old played a key role in Bafana Bafana's qualification process and now will have the chance to become the first Brentford player to appear at the AFCON finals.
All three of South Africa's Group D games will be played at the Al Salam Stadium, Cairo, beginning in a fortnight's time against the Ivory Coast. Four days later the 1996 winners take on Namibia before finishing with a game against Morocco on Monday 1 July.
The top two from the six groups qualify for the knockout stages, as well as the best four runners-up, with the final being held in the Cairo International Stadium on Friday 19 July.
Kamohelo, who made 37 appearances for The Bees last term, scoring four goals, has earned 14 caps for his nation, eight of those coming since arriving in West London in the summer of 2017.
There could be further Brentford representation in Egypt over the weeks to come with Julian Jeanvier named in Guinea's provisional 25-man squad for the tournament. That squad will be cut to 23 in the days ahead.
