Guinea suffered a third straight defeat in build-up for this summer's Africa Cup of Nations, losing 3-1 to tournament hosts Egypt in Alexandria last night.
Julian Jeanvier watched on from the bench as Marwan Mohsen fired the home side ahead early on with a superb effort. Syli nationale were level just past the hour, Sory Kaba capitalising on a defence error to make it 1-1.
However, Egypt struck twice in the final 13 minutes through Ahmed Ali Kamal and then Omar Gaber to wrap up victory.
It means Guinea head into their tournament opener against Madagascar on Sunday on the back of consecutive defeats to Gambia, Benin, and now Egypt, conceding five and scoring just one in that run. Defender Julian played the first two of those games earlier this month, earning his first caps for his nations, and has been handed the number 15 shirt for the upcoming tournament.
