Denmark played host to both international matches involving Brentford players on Monday with a win and a defeat a-piece.
In Copenhagen, Henrik Dalsgaard was an unused substitute as The Danes cruised to a 5-1 victory over Georgia in Euro 2020 Qualifying. Kasper Dolberg and Christian Eriksen netted either side of a Saba Lobjanidze strike as the hosts went in 2-1 ahead. After the break Georgian resistance crumbled with Dolberg grabbing a second, before Youssef Poulsen and Martin Braithwaite added gloss to the score-line late on.
The win leaves Henrik and Denmark second in Group D, five points behind Republic of Ireland but having played a game less.
A three-hour drive to the west, Luka Racic was also among the replacements as Denmark’s Under-20s were beaten 3-2 by their Norwegian counterparts at the Casa Arena, Horsens. Three unanswered goals either side of the break turned the game in the away side’s favour following Alexander Ammitzbøll’s early opener. Elias Sørensen set up an interesting final ten minutes but Norway held on to inflict a second defeat in three days on The Danes.
