Kolbeinn Finnsson and Patrik Gunnarsson got one over fellow Brentford B international Luka Racic as the pair met in Horsens on Friday evening.
In a game between Iceland's Under-21s, for whom midfielder Kolbeinn was winning his sixth cap, and Denmark's Under-20s, for whom Luka earned a third cap, it was the hosts who took a tenth minute lead through Elias Sorensen. That advantage lasted just ten minutes as Iceland levelled through Stefan Teitur Thordarson. The game looked poised to finish all square but substitute Erlingur Agnarsson popped up in the 92nd to grab the winner.
Goalkeeper Patrik Gunnarsson came off the substitute's bench at half time. He was making his second appearance for his country at Under-21 level having previously played at Under-17 and Under-19 level. His clean sheet allowed Iceland to win the game late on. Danish defender Mads Bech Sorensen were also called up for the fixture but wasn't involved.
Denmark have another game on Monday when they face Norway back in Horsens.
