Fredrik Hammar captained his country and his Brentford B teammate Simon Andersson was also involved as Sweden Under-18 were beaten yesterday. Midfield player Frederik, who joined Brentford B in January, and goalkeeper Simon both played 90 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to Hungary yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 4 June. It is one of two games between the teams with the other taking place tomorrow, Thursday.
Sweden took an early lead in the game, from the penalty spot, but were pegged back before half time. The winner for the hosts came with 15 minutes remaining. Simon made a couple of vital saves before and after the winning goal, but Sweden could not find a way back in to the game. Highlights can be seen here.
Czech Republic Under-18 were also in action yesterday, beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0. Brentford B midfield player Jan Žambůrek was not involved in the game.
