It was a full-on week for The Bees in Austria. Not only did Thomas Frank and the coaching staff put the boys through a tough week of training, culminating in Saturday's draw against Dynamo Kyiv, but there were also three new faces to welcome to the group.
David Raya was the first of the trio to join, arriving from Blackburn Rovers on the Saturday that we departed for Austria. The 23-year-old goalkeeper had been Rovers first choice for the past two seasons and said it was nice to be joining a club where he felt so wanted.
Then on Monday it was confirmed that Leeds United centre-back Pontus Jansson had swapped Elland Road for Griffin Park on a three-year deal. Last season's PFA Team of the Season inductee, joined up with the squad the following day and spoke of his desire to help install a winning belief inside the group.
A busy few days were complete on Wednesday with the arrival of young Danish midfielder Mathias Jensen from Celta Vigo. The Under-21 international midfielder penned a four-year deal, with the option of a further year, and jumped straight into action with his new teammates the following day.
