Help support Brentford FC Community Sports Trust work in local area and remember Robert

9 July 2019

In memory of Robert Rowan, Brentford FC and Brentford FC Community Sports Trust are delighted to announce a new role. Robert died of heart failure in November 2018 while working for the Club as Technical Director. To continue his legacy, we are looking for a Health Programme and B Team Coaching and Performance Assistant to join our vibrant team in Brentford.

The successful applicant will be employed by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust to coordinate the Trust’s Health Programmes and will also spend some of their time working with the Coaching and Performance Departments at Brentford FC – alongside Brentford FC’s B Team Technical Lead at Brentford’s training ground.

Suzanne, Robert Rowan’s wife, said: “Rob’s family and I are so grateful to Brentford FC and its Community Sports Trust for creating a job role in Rob’s memory. I know Rob was an integral part of the B Team set up and I am pleased to see this role will involve support and mentoring from B-Team’s Technical Lead. Through this role, Rob’s legacy lives on, and this is so very important to us.”

The full-time role is offered for an initial period of 12 months at a salary of £23,000. The job description can be found at Rob Rowan Legacy role JD.pdf.
