After victory over AFC Wimbledon and a Dymano Kyiv draw, Thomas Frank's side return to action tomorrow afternoon away at Wycombe Wanderers. Below you will find all the info ahead of our visit to the Sky Bet League One side.
Wycombe Wanderers vs Brentford
Adams Park, Kick-off 3pm
THE OPPOSITION
Following promotion in May 2018 months ago, The Chairboys successfully consolidated their position in the third tier this year. Gareth Ainsworth's side ended the season 17th in the table, three points above the drop zone.
So far this summer, it has been quite on the transfer front in Buckinghamshire with Alex Pattison arriving on a free from Middlesbrough while Paris Cowan-Hall departed for Colchester United.
THE BOSS
Following a distinguished playing career at all four levels of English football with Preston, Wimbledon and QPR, Ainsworth began his coaching career with Wycombe in 2011, having earned legendary status in his final years as a player. The former QPR caretaker boss was handed the reins at Adams Park in September that year and steered the club away from relegation before hanging up his boots after his 600th career appearance against Port Vale.
Despite financial restraints, Ainsworth successfully kept Wanderers in the EFL the following season before guiding The Chairboys to the Play-Off final 12 months later. After 13th and 9th placed finishes, the 46-year-old clinched his first promotion as a manager in April 2018 and is currently the second longest serving manager in the top four divisions.
