With around a year until it opens, some of the senior Brentford FC football staff had a first look at the site of our new home last week. Head Coach Thomas Frank was joined by First Team Goalkeeper Coach Iñaki Caña Pavón and Assistant First Team Coach Kevin O'Connor at Brentford Community Stadium last week. They had a look around the site and had first sight of what will become the dressing rooms and dug outs where they will work 12 months from now.
Work has been ongoing at our new home since early 2018. The steel structure is complete and the pitch is currently being prepared. The 17,250-seat stadium will be finished in the first half of 2020 and The Bees will move in next summer. The final season at Griffin Park will begin on Saturday when Brentford entertain Birmingham City.
