Brentford B have today signed Arthur Read from Luton Town. After completing his medical in West London, the 19-year-old midfielder signed a one-year deal plus 12-month option.
Read joined The Hatters as an Under-9 player and has been there ever since. His professional debut came in 2016, coming on as a substitute in Luton's EFL Trophy defeat to Millwall at Kenilworth Road. In total, he made seven appearances for The Oranges, scoring his first senior goal in December 2018 against Southend United.
Last season, he made his debut in a league competition away from the Club as a loanee for Hemel Hempstead Town in the National League South.
He is the second member of the B squad to have come through the Luton academy, following on from fullback Cole Dasilva.
B Team Technical Lead Allan Steele said: "We are extremely happy to add Arthur to our squad and we look forward to seeing the versatile midfielder continue his development with us.
"Arthur is an exciting young player who has received a great footballing education at Luton and we believe his attributes will flourish within our style of play."
