It started well for Justin Ali and Nathan Mobey’s side at the Edward Alleyn Club as Becca Wiltshire gave The Bees an early advantage, the winger pouncing on Molly O’Reilly’s long ball and beating the home keeper with the aid of a deflection.

The two sides would go in level thanks to Jordan Williamson’s equaliser with the hosts going on to take control after the break. Abi Sabin came off the bench to grab a brace with Courtnee Catcott also on target as Brentford fell to a fifth straight Greater London Women’s Football League Division One defeat.

Life wasn’t much better for the Development Team as they were beaten 4-0 by South London WFC in the Greater London Women’s Football League Trophy. Molly Yeoman scored twice with Harriet Drudge and Izzy Theodoreson grabbing the other goals.

The First-Team are in John Greenacre Memorial Trophy action next Sunday, hosting Peckham Town at Bedfont Sports, kick-off 2pm, while the Development Team take on bottom-of-the-table Camden Town Ladies in a relegation six-pointer on Regents Park, kick-off 2pm.
