In what was a meeting between the bottom two at Bedfont Sports, it took the visitors less than two minutes to go ahead through Sara Lopez Ezzahiri’s long-range effort. Actonians dominated the early stages and doubled their advantage on the quarter hour, Williams grabbing her first of the afternoon from a corner. The striker was at it again ten minutes before the interval with her second and the visitors’ third.

The Bees came out better after the interval and pulled one back as top scorer Rebekah Wiltshire netted her eighth of the season. However, that goal didn’t prove to be the catalyst for a recovery as Walsh, who had played the role of creator in the first-half, scored two goals of her own to cap off a miserable afternoon for Justin Ali and Nathan Mobey’s side.

The result means The Bees drop to bottom of the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One ahead of a potential make-or-break game at Bedfont Sports this Sunday, when they host the other team involved in the relegation dogfight, Luton Town Development, kick-off 2.30pm.
