Brentford’s match against Blackburn Rovers was dedicated to the local community and young people played a special role. The Club’s first ever Community Takeover Match took place as The Bees beat Blackburn 5-2 on Saturday, 2 February, and children from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust’s projects had important matchday roles. Youngsters took over as Head Coach, Club Photographer, Referee and Club Shop Manager among many other roles and got involved with a matchday.

Sky Sports News were on hand to capture everything that was going on. They spoke to senior figures - including Vice Chairman Donald Kerr - and some of the participants. Their coverage of the day can be seen here.
