Said Benrahma's performance against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday has earned him special recognition with a place in the EFL Team of the Weekend.
The Algerian winger started our comeback with a fine finish to make it 2-1 after 13 minutes before teeing up Ollie Watkins for the equaliser early in the second-half. It was also his delicate flick which allowed Neal Maupay in behind to make it 4-2 late on. Those contributions took it to four assists and three goals in four Sky Bet Championship outings for Said in 2019. You can see all five goals from Saturday's win below.
Said, who is in the running for the PFA Fans' Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for January, was joined in the EFL Team of the Weekend by fellow Championship players Mario Vrancic, Andreas Weimann, and Britt Assombalonga.
Said's performance also saw him become just the fifth player this season to score a perfect 10 according to stats website WhoScored.com. The 23-year-old was joined in the Best XI of the weekend by Ollie Watkins, whose 9.7 rating was only bettered by Said this weekend.
