The game was decided in an eight-minute spell late on in the first-half; Kaiyne Woolery opening the scoring with a fine finish on 36 minutes before Theo Robinson slotted home a second to wrap up the win. Those three points saw The Robins move up to 10th, five points behind Rovers who occupy the final Play-Off spot.

While Jarvis Edobor was helping Brentford B to the Final of the London Senior Cup, his Maidstone United teammates were making cup progress of their own, beating Salford City 3-0 in an FA Trophy Third Round replay. Michael Phillips, Elliott Romain, and Will de Havilland got the goals as The Stones set up a Quarter-Final tie against Stockport County. Before that however, Maidstone return to the National League relegation battle with a trip to mid-table Bromley on Saturday.
