B Team defender Jarvis Edobor has extended his loan with Maidstone United until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old first joined The Stones in December on a one-month loan deal before that was extended through January. Maidstone have now agreed with Brentford an extension to last until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

So far this term, Jarvis has made six appearances for the Kent-based team, three from the bench and three from the start. He has played in both the FA Trophy and in the Vanarama National League as The Stone battle to stay in the division.

The agreement also allows Jarvis to play for Brentford B, and he is currently in Ireland with the squad getting ready to face Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium. Jarvis also appeared in their last friendly against Borussia Dortmund II at the start of February.

B Team Head Coach Lars Friis said: “Jarvis has impressed the staff at Maidstone with his attitude and performances, making this an easy decision for them to extend his deal. We are also happy that he can return to fill in for us at times for the next few months as he enters a crucial time in his development into a professional footballer.

“He is a leader in our dressing room and has shown great improvement on the pitch throughout his years at Brentford. We are hoping he can push on now and reach even higher by the time summer arrives."
