Brentford B goalkeeper Simon Andersson has been called up for international duty. The 18-year-old has been named in the Sweden Under-19 squad for a four-team tournament next month. Sweden’s Under-19 side will be in Denmark for an event that includes the hosts and also Norway and Wales.

The squad will meet up on 4 September and Sweden will play Norway in their first match on 6 September while Wales face Denmark. The two winning teams will then play on 9 September while the two losing teams will also face each other. Simon will return to West London after that second game.

Simon is one of two goalkeepers in the squad and has played two games for Sweden at that level. He has also made 16 appearances combined at Under-17, Under-16 and Under-15 level. The teenager joined The Bees from Halmstads Bollklub a year ago.
