After four seasons in the National League, which included the 2015 Play-Off final between Forest Green and Bristol Rovers, Lee moved up to the EFL ahead of the 2015/16 season.

His first season in the Football League saw him dish out 11 red cards in 31 matches. Swabey has never taken charge of Brentford previously as he approaches 100 games in the EFL and FA Cup.

His previous outing this season was Rotherham United's 2-0 defeat to Lincoln City, which saw him hand out six yellow cards.
