After impressing off the bench in recent weeks, Justin Shaibu started for Boreham Wood in the National League as they travelled south to take on Bromley. However, it wasn’t to be the happiest of afternoons for the striker as he played an hour in a 1-0 defeat, Michael Cheek tapping in the only goal on the stroke of half-time. Elsewhere, Canice Carroll was an unused sub as Carlisle United were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Salford City.

In Holland, Halil Dervişoğlu played the full 90 minutes as Sparta Rotterdam maintained their unbeaten start in the Eredivisie with a 2-2 draw at PEC Zwolle. Ragnar Ache gave Sparta an eighth minute lead but the hosts levelled a minute later through Iliass Ben Hassani. Lennart Thy then put Zwolle ahead after the break only for Sparta to hit back late on through Lars Veldwijk. The point leaves Sparta third in the table after four games.
