Having netted in the 4-1 victory over VV Venlo last weekend, Halil provided the assists for both Mohamed Rayhi's first-half goal on Saturday. The first was a neat pass along the edge of the box while the second was a through ball which set Rayhi free to slot home. Den Haag pulled one back after the break through former Cardiff City striker Lex Immers but the visitors' held on to pick up the three points.

Elsewhere, Justin Shaibu was a second-half substitute as Boreham Wood were beaten 1-0 at home by Sutton United. Substitute Tommy Wright netted the only goal eight minutes from time as Wood were beaten for the first time on home soil this campaign.

Canice Carroll served the second game of his three-game ban on Saturday as Carlisle United were beaten 2-0 at home by Mansfield Town. Danny Rose and Nicky Maynard got the goals at Brunton Park to leave The Cumbrians 18th in the table ahead of Tuesday's trip to Cheltenham Town.
