The First Team were away at Regents Park Rangers on Sunday 4 August, playing on a bumpy pitch at Wormwood Scrubs. Both teams are competing in the same league next year so a very positive 3-0 win for the Bees bodes well for the weeks to come.

Later that day the Development Team were at Swift Road, Southall for a game against Tooting Bec. An impressive performance resulted in a 5-1 win.

On Sunday 11 August the Development Team were back at Swift Road hosting QPR Development. The Bees looked to be cruising but an impressive comeback from QPR made for a nail biting last few minutes as the game eventually finished 5-4 to the red and whites.

Sunday 18 August saw the First Team host Ascot Ladies at Bedfont Sports. Despite not being able to convert a handful of good opportunities, Karleigh Osborne's side finished with an excellent 2-0 win against a team playing in a higher league.

The same day saw the Development Team travelling to Poole to play against Broadstone FC and come away with a 5-3 win, with Shannon Read scoring all of them.

The first competitive match is now the Preliminary Round of the Women’s FA Cup away at Abingdon on Sunday 1September, with the league season starting for both sides a week later.

We would still like to improve our squads with committed players, so why not come along to Wednesday night training?
