Bryan Mbeumo has been called up to the France Under-21 squad for the first time. The attacker, who joined Brentford at the start of the month from Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne, has been named in the squad for two friendly matches. France will play two friendlies ahead of the start of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2021 qualifying process.

France named a 21-man squad for the two friendly games next month. They play Albania on Thursday 5 September and then take on Czech Republic on Monday 9 September. France are in Group Two of the qualification tournament. The group winners will qualify along with the best second-placed team in nine groups. Eight other runners-up will take part in Play-Off games.

Bryan has been making his way through the French youth international system. He first played for France at Under-17 level, playing in a game against Italy. Last season he was part of the Under-20 group and made three further appearances for his country. He started all three games and helped his country stay unbeaten.
