Brentford B take on AFC Bournemouth Under-23s on the south coast this afternoon, the game being played at Canford Park Arena. It's a 1pm kick-off as Brentford look to repeat the result they acheived almost exactly a year ago.

Last season, The Bees travelled to the Vitality Stadium and came away 3-0 winners. Then-Head-Coach Kevin O'Connor managed a double over The Cherries after a 2-1 win at Griffin Park the week before. Marc Pugh, Tyrone Mings, Diego Rico and Jefferson Lerma all played in the first fixture, which saw Marcus Forss and Reece Cole score under the lights.

In the next match, Brentford faced a more youthful side and came away heavy winners. Ali Coote and Joe Hardy scored in the first hour for the away side, an own goal from Ryan Glover sealed things after 80 minutes.

Brentford come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw with West Ham U23s at Griffin Park. Jan Zamburek and Jaden Brissett scored the goals in each half, Anthony Scully and Nathan Holland levelling for The Hammers.

Bournemouth have so far played three friendlies in August, against Brighton, AFC Wimbledon and Oxford United. Each one has seen at least two goals from Shaun Cooper's side, both in the 2-1 win over The Seagulls and a 2-2 draw with The Dons. Their most recent win came over The U's, a 3-0 win thanks to Corey Jordan, Tyler Cordner and Jaidon Anthony.
