Referee: Peter Bankes

Assistant Referees: Mark Russell and Daniel Leach

Fourth Official: Tim Robinson

This is Peter Bankes' sixth season as an EFL referee, having taken charge of his first game in February 2014.

The Merseyside official has officiated seven previous Brentford games. His first was our 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest in April 2016 before he oversaw a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, which saw both sides finish with ten men, and our 5-1 Emirates FA Cup win over Eastleigh the following campaign.

Last season, he took charge of our home draw against Bristol City and our defeat at Derby County, where an early red card for Sergi Canos set us en route to a 3-0 defeat in the East Midlands. His two Brentford outings this season so far were September's 2-1 home win against Nottingham Forest, which saw 12 bookings, and our 0-0 draw against Birmingham City in December.

So far this season, Bankes has taken charge of 33 matches, showing 144 yellow cards and three reds in the process.
