Match Preview: Isle of Man vs Brentford B

Lars Friis squad have travelled for this evening's game

24 April 2019

Brentford B take on an Isle of Man FA squad this evening at The Bowl in Douglas. Lars Friis' side travelled to the island this morning to get ready for the fixture against The Yellows.

Drawn from across the island, Paul Jones' side are using the outing against our B Team as they build-up to defend their Island Games title in Yves Mons this June

Frank Stennett IOMFA Chief Executive Officer commented “This is a really prestigious game for our Senior Men and we are delighted to welcome Brentford B to the Isle of Man. The game will give Island Manager Paul Jones and his coaching staff an excellent and demanding test against a very strong team from West London. I am sure all the players representing the Island would welcome a good supportive crowd at the Bowl as we continue the build up to the Island Games in Ynys Mon in June.

Team News

Patrik Gunnarsson continues to deputise for Luke Daniels in West London, and so Simon Andersson has travelled alongside a trialist keeper. Fresh off his First Team debut against Millwall and a place on the bench against Leeds, Luka Racic has travelled with the side.

Ali Coote received the Mary Halder award on the pitch at Griffin Park on Easter Monday. He is in contention for a place today, as well as fellow Scots Theo Archibald and Jonny Mitchell.

Fredrik Hammar has scored two in two against Harrow and Cambuur but picked up a knock in that last game, which could rule him out. He is with the squad, and could see some action.
