Brentford FC CST looking for a Management Accountant

Vacancy at Community Sports Trust

8 September 2018

Our award-winning Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is looking to strengthen its finance team with the appointment of a qualified accountant

Established in 1987, the Trust is a charity with an annual income approaching £2m. Working with key partners across the private, public and voluntary sectors it has achieved numerous accolades, including winning Football League Community Club of the Year award on four separate occasions. The Trust delivers programmes spanning sports participation, education, social inclusion, community cohesion and healthy lifestyles.

The Trust is forecasting further significant expansion over the next two years following its appointment as a key partner in the redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park as a sports hub, and its move to new, larger, purpose-built premises directly adjacent to the new Brentford FC 17,500 capacity stadium near Kew Bridge in the second half of 2019.

To help facilitate that expansion, the Trust is recruiting a Management Accountant.

The role is responsible for supporting the production of key financial information for the Trust including the production of monthly management accounts, annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting/monitoring. The role provides regular management information for the Trustees, CEO & Managers through monthly reports. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager, Accounts Department and Budget Holders to ensure delivery of best practice. You will keep up to date with changing accounts regulations and advise accordingly.
