David Titov was a second-half substitute as Latvia Under-19s beat Faroe Islands 2-0 to register their first win at the Federation Cup. Viktors Ziemelis gave the home side the lead in Jelgava 12 minutes before the break. David was introduced just after the hour to earn his fourth cap at Under-19 level with Robert Krista Jaunarājs-Janvāris wrapping up the win four minutes from time. Latvia end their Federation Cup campaign on Monday against Ukraine.
Patrik Gunnarsson earned his first cap for Iceland’s Under-19s yesterday as they were beaten 1-0 by their Albanian counterparts. The double-header against the Balkan nation is in preparation for the UEFA Under-19 European Championship qualifiers this November where Iceland have been drawn alongside England, Turkey, and Moldova. The two sides meet again on Tuesday with Patrik aiming to earn his ninth cap in total at Youth Level.
