Arsenal date confirmed

Carabao Cup tie to be played on Wednesday 26 September

1 September 2018

The details have been confirmed for Brentford's Carabao Cup Third Round tie. The Bees were drawn to face Arsenal in the last 32 of the competition and the date has now been set for the game. Brentford's first ever visit to The Emirates Stadium will take place on Wednesday 26 September and the tie will kick-off at 7.45pm.

Brentford reached the Third Round stage by beating Southend United and Cheltenham Town while Arsenal enter at this stage due to their participation in the Europa League. This will be the first competitive meeting between the teams since the 1946/47 season, when both sides were in the top flight. Arsenal won 1-0 at Griffin Park in May 1947 in Brentford's final top tier game to date. The Bees took on Arsenal five times at their old Highbury ground, winning one and losing one.

Ticket prices and Brentford's allocation for the game are yet to be confirmed. More information will be released as soon as it is confirmed.
