Brentford B goalkeeper Simon Andersson has been called up to Sweden's Under-18 squad for a three-team tournament held in England later this month.
St George's Park is hosting the event between 10-14th October in Burton, which will see Sweden face off against England and Czech Republic in the same age group.
Simon joined The Bees in the summer and made his first two appearances for Brentford B in Switzerland last month, against SC Freiburg and GC Zürich. He was brought on in the second game as a half-time substitute for Patrik Gunnarsson as the pair kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win.
Already this season, the tall teenager has had the chance to impress Dean Smith and his coaching staff by training with the First Team group. He'll be hoping to make an impression in this international tournament for the first time as a Brentford player.
