Five reasons to join us on Saturday

There's a London derby against Millwall to look forward to this weekend

31 October 2018

We host London rivals Millwall at Griffin Park this Saturday with Sky Bet Championship points and local bragging rights on the line. Not got your ticket for the game yet? Here are five reasons not to miss Saturday's action!

A new beginning

Our 12-game unbeaten run at Griffin Park came to an end last time out against Bristol City. That loss to The Robins was only the third time that we had tasted league defeat in our last 29 Sky Bet Championship outings on home soil. Thomas and the boys will be keen to restore "Fortress Griffin Park" and you can be there to see them take the first step on that journey.

Retaining bragging rights

Millwall and QPR provide our derby opposition this November and we’ll be looking to extend some excellent runs of form against the pair on home soil. It’s more than a decade since Millwall last took all three points in TW8 and QPR have been beaten on each of their last three visits to Griffin Park.

Thomas’ First win

Extending that recent good run against Millwall would also see Thomas Frank collect his first points as Head Coach. Three single goal defeats in a week have seen us drop back from the top six but a win on home soil would start the journey back up towards those Play-Off places.

November record

The penultimate month of the year has been a great one for The Bees in recent years. Going back to 2011, we have a 71 per cent win rate at Griffin Park and have lost just six of our last 35 matches in November. The last time we had back-to-back London derbies in November? We won them both in a run of five straight Championship wins back in 2014.

Remembrance Commemorations

100 years ago next week, the guns finally fell silent on the Western Front. A war that was going to be over in weeks had rumbled on for four years and cost millions of lives. Those sacrifices, as well as those from all armed conflicts, will be commemorated at Saturday’s game. Among those we will remember are 14 Brentford players, and 10 Millwall players, who laid down their lives for our freedoms.

Join us live at Griffin Park as we face The Lions. With our away end sold out, tickets for this game are only available to supporters with a ticket purchasing history, so don’t forget to login to your ticketing account to secure your place for this match.
