Ellery Balcombe has become the latest Brentford player to receive an international call-up after being selected for the England Under-20s.
Paul Simpson's side will meet up this Sunday ahead of a pair of games in the European Under-20 Elite League. The Young Lions will play Italy at AFC Fylde on Thursday 11 October, kick-off 7pm before flying out to the Czech Republic for a game at Dynamo České Budějovice on Monday 15 October, kick-off 5pm UK time.
England are currently fifth in the Elite League Group 1 table with three points from their opening two games. Those points came thanks to a 2-0 win over Switzerland last month, a game which saw Ellery win his 14th cap at youth level for England.
The 18-year-old is currently on loan with National League side Boreham Wood. After starting the first seven games while with the Hertfordshire club, Ellery has been on the bench for The Wood's past five games which have seen them take just four points.
Ellery is the second Brentford youngster to be called up by England this morning following Ezri Konsa's inclusion in Aidy Boothroyd's Under-21 group.
