The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning came to Brentford last week. At both Griffin Park and the Brentford FC Training Ground, in Osterley, there was tea, coffee and cake available as part of the annual Macmillan Cancer Support fundraiser. And hundreds of pounds was raised for charity.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event. People all over the UK host their own events and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. The staff at Griffin Park put on a Coffee Morning in The Hive while at Jersey Road, players and staff donated cakes – many homemade – for the event.
Across the Club, almost £1,000 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and staff were brought together for the cause. The money raised will form part of the total for the event which topped £27m last year. Macmillan offer those diagnosed with cancer a source of support, giving those affected the energy and inspiration to help them feel more like themselves.
